Greet the children and prepare them for the lesson.
2Big Idea

With children seated, introduce the Big Idea.

Teacher: “Our Bible verse today is, 'Love God with all your heart.'"

Then dialog with Lenny Lion craft puppet (optional).

Teacher: “Hey, Lenny, do you know how much God love us?"

Lenny Lion: “I sure do. God loves us VERY much!”

Teacher: “Do you mean that God loves us this much?"

Teacher streches arms wide

Lenny Lion: “Yes, THAT much!”

Teacher: “God loves us and He wants us to love and obey Him. Children, do you love God? Let’s show how much we love God.”

Teacher and children stretch their arms wide.

Teacher: "Noah and his family loved God. They thanked God because they loved Him. Let’s watch a video."

4Video Review / Discussion / Takeaway

With children seated, hold up the coloring page.

Teacher: "Noah and his family loved God. Can you see how Noah built an altar to worship God? Noah and his family prayed and thanked God for each other and for their food. They loved God. Let’s do our memory verse: 'Love (warm smile, hands spread on chest) God (looking, pointing upward) with all (arms stretched wide) your heart (both hands point to heart).'"

Repeat.

Teacher: “Now let’s color.”

Distribute the coloring pages and allow the children to color the front side of the page while pointing out key aspects that relate to the story/video.
6Snack / Play Time
Serve snack, if applicable, then lead in a prayer of thanks: “Thank you for coloring Noah and his family. Before our snack, let’s all pray around our table.” Allow play time as needed.

Teacher: “Are we thankful for our snack? Let’s listen to a song from Lenny Lion.”

Then play “Thank You, God!” video on your TV or applicable audio device.

Teacher: “Thanks, Lenny, that was a good song. You reminded us to love God and be thankful.”

Lenny Lion: “Yes, and kids, God loves us and gives us many things to be thankful for-- things like mommies and daddies, our food, and the world around us. Remember Noah, how he and his family loved God and thanked Him? We should love God with all our hearts. Let’s practice our memory verse.”
