Greet the children and prepare them for the lesson.
2Big Idea

With children seated, introduce the Big Idea with Tibo Tiger craft puppet (optional).

Teacher: “Hello, Tibo. Are you ready to learn about Noah and the ark?”

Tibo Tiger: ”What is an ark?”

Teacher: “An Ark is a really big boat. God told Noah how to build an ark. Our Bible verse today is, 'Noah did everything God told him to do.' Noah and his family loved God and they obeyed God. Let’s watch a video."

3Video
Show the "Little Noah : Noah Builds an Ark" video on your available TV or device.
4Video Review / Discussion / Takeaway

With children seated, hold up a large photo of the Ark Encounter and then, the finished craft.

Teacher: “Did you like the story of Noah building the ark? Noah’s ark was very big to hold Noah’s family and all the animals. Look how big it is compared to the people. Noah built the ark just as God told him. Would you like to make a small one? First, let’s review our Bible verse: 'Noah did everything (arms wide) God (point upward) told him (point to mouth) to do (hammering motion).'”

5Activity
Allow children to build with blocks or other construction toys, then distribute the "Build the Ark" main page with 3 Ark parts (boat, waves, upper deck) and help children color, cut and paste/tape the sections together to "build" the Ark.
6Snack / Play Time

Serve, if applicable.

Teacher: “Remember how Noah and his family prayed before they ate? Let’s all pray around our table.”

Allow play time as needed.

7Song

Hold up ark picture or a child’s work.

Teacher: “You did very well following directions. Remember: 'Noah did everything God told him to do.' Noah was obedient. Let’s sing about obedience."

Play “Obedience Song" on your available device.

8Song Takeaway / Discussion

Teacher, with Tibo Tiger craft puppet (optional):

Teacher: “Tibo, now do you know what an ark is?”

Tibo Tiger: “Yes, it is a BIG boat. And Noah built it just as God told him to do.”

Teacher: “That’s right, Tibo. God loves us. We show that we love God when we love and obey our parents. ‘Obedience is the very best thing,’ isn’t it children?”

Practice memory verse one more time (with signing).

9Activity
Children cut out the windows and paste/tape to their Ark, or draw/color their own windows/animals and attach to Ark (animal stickers also work well if available).
10Summary Wrap-Up
Review the Bible verse with signs, then close in prayer.
